Interactive Historic Site map

This interactive map was made for the Washington County Museum in Hillsboro, Oregon and showcases two datasets: historic sites and land claims. The data was compiled, categorized and formatted into attribute tables using Excel spreadsheets, then imported into ArcGIS Online where it was classified and the pop-up windows were configured. The data is displayed on a custom designed basemap made in Mapbox Studio. Users can navigate the map by touch to zoom in and out, reveal information in pop-up windows, look at historic photos and follow links to additional information. The intention of this interactive map is to create an engaging and educational experience for museum visitors.
